How to focus and achieve what you want

You must make an acceptance that mistakes can happen, they are, in fact, sometimes the only opportunity for learning something truly new and making progress.

Achieve the skills you want to learn

When there's so much to learn, where do you start?

That’s today’s question  that I’ve been thinking about and here’s my answer.

There are many great skills for one to learn over time, I’ve used Warren Buffet’s 5/25 rule to help me focus on learning skills that I wanted to learn, not just for my career but personal interests as well.

This has allowed me to learn Juggling, a second language , speed typing, improve my CAD skills and learn VBA.

To shorten it down:-
✅ Write down the 25 skills/goals that you want to or are interested in learning
✅ Now circle the 5 top items that are important to you (this might take awhile)
✅ Focus on this 5 off list till you master them, this is your A list, the other 20 Off become your avoid list
✅ Once mastered, repeat the process

This allows you to filter out goals & skills (essentially the noise) and allows you to identify those that you believe are important, that means you’re not wasting time and commit fully to learning them.

I hope you’re able to use this method like I have over the years!

Here’s a great blog post from Friday that really goes into depth:
